INTRODUCING THE COLLECTORS COLLECTIVE
I'm incredibly excited to be part of The Collectors Collective, TOAF’s brand-new program to gather a vibrant community of emerging collectors and art lovers.
Part of my aim with Opaloma is to activate my community's curiosity when it comes to living with art – what that means, and how to do it in a way that feels genuine. The Collectors Collective invites folks to connect and share their experiences, their questions, and their passions; together, we'll build an exciting and thriving art market that speaks to a sensibility beyond merely collecting what will increase in monetary value.
This is the beginning of a new community, one that takes collective action to champion artists and ensure they thrive. We’re planting the seed for a supportive circle of collectors and art lovers, and we need engaged voices like yours to help it grow!
The first gathering of The Collectors Collective is coming up this Saturday, July 12th as part of this year's Toronto Outdoor Art Fair. Starting at 5pm, join me for an exclusive collecting-focused TOAF tour, an intimate chat with an award-winning artist, and the opportunity to mingle with like-minded supporters of the arts. Tickets are limited to ensure this event has an approachable atmosphere!
PLUS, ticket buyers using the code OPALOMA will be entered in a draw to win one of two $100 gift certificates to be used at TOAF 2025, or a signed print by Matthew Walton – winner of TOAF's award for Best of 2D Works last year.
Tickets must be purchased by Thursday, July 10th at 12pm EST to be entered to win the aforementioned prizes. One winner per email address. Winners will be notified by email, and prizes must be collected at the TOAF info booth from the first day of the fair (please note: digital gift certificates are not available for this contest).
